The Ballston Boreas collection offers a sleek, contemporary look with a polished nickel frame and cylindrical glass shades featuring a deco swirl pattern. The fixture is ADA compliant and features an easy-access design with swiveling sockets for simple bulb changes. It can be customized with other Franklin collection shades to fit your style.

How bright is it?
This fixture uses four 400-watt incandescent bulbs (not included) for a total of 1600 watts. If you use LED bulbs, you can achieve similar brightness with much lower wattage. The lumen output depends on the bulbs you choose; with typical 100W equivalent LED bulbs, you can expect around 1600 lumens per bulb, making this a very bright, functional light for a bathroom.
Light color and feel
The color temperature depends on the bulbs you install. For a warm, inviting glow, choose 2700K-3000K bulbs. The deco swirl glass shades will diffuse the light softly, creating a warm, ambient glow that flatters skin tones and adds a touch of elegance.

The fixture measures 38.75 inches wide, 4 inches deep, and 4.5 inches high, with a 4-inch extension from the wall. It is designed for horizontal or vertical mounting. The backplate is 39 inches wide and 4.5 inches high, and the shades are 8 inches in diameter. This size is best for vanities 48 inches or wider.

Is the bulb included? No, bulbs are not included. It accepts four E26 base bulbs, with T Series shape recommended.
Is it dimmable, and what dimmer should I use? Yes, it is dimmable. Use a standard incandescent or LED-compatible dimmer switch.
Can I install this in a bathroom or outdoors? It is rated for damp locations, so it is safe in bathrooms but not for direct water exposure outdoors.

Can I change the shades? Yes, the Boreas can be fitted with any of the glass or metal shades from the Franklin collection to create a custom fixture.

Returns
Almost all products on hausappeal.com are returnable. The few exceptions include unsealed mattresses, assembled or modified products, and clearance merchandise. Any product that is non-returnable will note that on its product page.
All returns must be unused and shipped back in the original packaging to the warehouse address from which the order was shipped. To initiate a return, send an email to us at Service@hausappeal.com so that we can provide you with a Return Authorization Number. Upon inspection of the return, you will receive a full refund of product cost minus our outbound shipping costs.
