This fixture features a heavy cast brass backplate and cylindrical seedy glass shades, creating a dramatic, textured look that complements a variety of decor styles.
Best for
- Bathrooms with a 48-60 inch vanity, mounted horizontally above the mirror for even task lighting
- Powder rooms and guest bathrooms where a touch of Art Deco elegance is desired
- Damp locations such as bathrooms with ventilation, as it is UL/CUL damp rated
- Contemporary and transitional interiors with black or dark metallic accents
- Pairing with dimmer switches for adjustable ambient and task lighting
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas exposed to rain or direct water spray, as it is only damp rated
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet if you prefer a flush mount, as this is a wall-mounted fixture
- Minimalist or industrial interiors where a more streamlined, less decorative fixture is preferred
How bright is it?
This fixture uses four 400W incandescent bulbs (not included) for a total of 1600W, providing ample brightness for a bathroom. For a more energy-efficient option, use LED bulbs with equivalent lumens. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the light level to suit your needs.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulbs you choose. For a warm, inviting glow, select bulbs with a color temperature of 2700K-3000K. The seedy glass shades diffuse light softly, reducing glare and creating a warm, flattering illumination ideal for grooming.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 38.75 inches wide, 4 inches deep, and 4.5 inches high, with a 4-inch extension from the wall. It is designed for wall mounting and can be oriented vertically or horizontally. The backplate is 39 inches wide and 4.5 inches high, providing a sturdy mount.
