Description
A four-light bathroom vanity light from the Boreas collection, finished in brushed brass with Deco Swirl glass shades, for bathrooms and powder rooms.
The Boreas brings the sleek silhouette of the Ballston and lets you customize it with glass or metal shades from the Franklin collection. This version pairs a warm brushed brass finish with Deco Swirl glass cylinders, creating a contemporary look with a hint of Art Deco flair. The heavy cast backplate and swiveling sockets make it as practical as it is stylish.
Best for
- Bathrooms with a 36-48 inch vanity, mounted horizontally above the mirror
- Powder rooms where you want a warm, decorative light source
- Hallways or dressing areas that need bright, even illumination
- Contemporary or Art Deco interiors that appreciate mixed metal and glass textures
Not ideal for
- Small powder rooms under 5 feet wide - the 38.75-inch width may overwhelm the space
- Outdoor or wet areas - this fixture is rated for damp locations only, not wet
- Spaces with low ceilings if you need the fixture to mount vertically - it is designed for horizontal or vertical mounting but the 4.5-inch height is modest
How bright is it?
With four 400W incandescent bulbs (not included), this fixture can produce up to 4000 lumens if you use 100W equivalent bulbs - bright enough to serve as the primary light in a bathroom or dressing area. If you prefer softer light, use lower-wattage or dimmable LED bulbs.
Light color and feel
The fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the light level to suit your mood. The Deco Swirl glass diffuses light softly, reducing glare. For a warm, inviting glow, choose bulbs with a color temperature around 2700K-3000K. The fixture is compatible with incandescent, LED, fluorescent, and halogen bulbs.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 38.75 inches wide, 4 inches deep, and 4.5 inches high, with a 4-inch extension from the wall. It is designed for wall mounting and can be oriented vertically or horizontally. The backplate is 39 inches wide, so ensure your wall space can accommodate it. It weighs 6 pounds.
