Best for
- Hallways and corridors, mounted at eye level to provide ambient light
- Bedrooms as reading sconces beside the bed, placed 60-66 inches above the floor
- Living rooms to highlight artwork or architectural features
- Entryways and foyers, adding a warm welcome
- Staircases and landings for safety and style
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is damp rated, not wet rated
- Outdoor areas without protection from rain or moisture
- Spaces where you need bright, focused task lighting - this is an accent light
How bright is it?
Using a single 100W incandescent bulb (not included), this sconce produces approximately 1600 lumens - about as bright as a 100W incandescent bulb, ideal for accent or ambient lighting. For a softer glow, use a lower-wattage LED bulb.
Light color and feel
The white glass shade diffuses light evenly, creating a soft, warm glow. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the brightness to suit your mood. The color temperature will depend on the bulb you choose; warm white (2700K-3000K) is recommended for a cozy atmosphere.
Sizing and fit
The sconce measures 4 inches in length, 4.5 inches in width, and 10.75 inches in height, with a 4-inch extension from the wall. The backplate is 4.5 inches wide and 9.5 inches high. It is ADA compliant and can be mounted vertically.
