Description
A 1-light wall sconce with a white glass cylinder shade, finished in polished nickel, for hallways and bedroom accent lighting.
The Boreas collection offers sleek, contemporary style with an Art Deco flair. This sconce features a heavy cast backplate and a cylindrical white glass shade, creating a bright, diffused glow. It's a versatile fixture that can be customized with shades from the Franklin collection.
Best for
- Hallways and corridors, mounted at eye level to provide ambient light
- Bedrooms, used as reading sconces beside the bed
- Living rooms, flanking a fireplace or artwork for accent lighting
- Entryways, adding a touch of elegance and warmth
- Dining rooms, used as accent lighting on a feature wall
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - rated for damp locations, not wet locations
- Outdoor areas without protection from the elements - not rated for wet locations
- Spaces where a wider light spread is needed - this sconce provides focused accent light
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulb used. With a 100W incandescent bulb (not included), it can produce around 1600 lumens - enough for accent lighting. For lower light, use a lower-wattage or LED bulb.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb. For a warm, cozy feel, choose a 2700K-3000K bulb. The white glass diffuses light, reducing glare and creating a soft, even glow.
Sizing and fit
This sconce measures 4 inches in length, 4.5 inches in width, and 10.75 inches in height, with a 4-inch extension from the wall. The backplate is 4.5 inches wide and 9.5 inches high. It weighs 3 lbs and is ADA compliant.
