Description
A contemporary 1-light wall sconce from the Boreas collection, finished in oil rubbed bronze with a striped white glass cylinder shade, ideal for bedrooms and hallways.
The Boreas sconce combines sleek Art Deco styling with the flexibility to customize. Its heavy cast brass backplate and steel construction give it a substantial feel, while the striped white glass shade adds visual interest and diffuses light softly. This fixture is damp-rated, making it suitable for bathrooms and covered outdoor areas.
Best for
- Bedrooms, mounted as a reading light beside the bed or above nightstands
- Hallways and corridors, providing ambient accent lighting
- Bathrooms with a vanity, thanks to its damp-rated construction
- Living rooms, flanking a fireplace or artwork
- Entryways, adding a warm welcome
Not ideal for
- Spaces with very low ceilings, as the sconce extends 4 inches from the wall
- Areas requiring bright task lighting, as this is an accent fixture
- Outdoor locations exposed to direct rain, despite damp rating
How bright is it?
This sconce accepts one 100W incandescent bulb (not included). With an LED equivalent, you can expect around 800-1600 lumens, depending on the bulb. It's suitable for ambient and accent lighting, not as a primary room light.
Light color and feel
The striped white glass shade softens and diffuses the light, creating a warm, inviting glow. If you use a 2700K-3000K LED bulb, you'll get a cozy, traditional feel. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the mood.
Sizing and fit
Measuring 4.5 inches wide, 4 inches deep, and 10.75 inches high, this sconce is compact and works well in smaller spaces. It projects 4 inches from the wall. The rectangular backplate is 4.5 inches wide and 9.5 inches high.
