Description
A 1-light wall sconce from the Boreas collection, finished in black antique brass with a clear glass cylinder shade, for bedrooms and hallways.
The Boreas takes the sleek silhouette of the Ballston and adds a touch of flair with interchangeable glass shades from the Franklin collection. This version features a clear glass cylinder that lets the bulb shine through, creating a crisp, contemporary look with Art Deco undertones. The heavy cast backplate and steel construction give it a solid, premium feel.
Best for
- Bedrooms, mounted as a reading light beside the bed or above nightstands
- Hallways and corridors, providing ambient accent light
- Living rooms, flanking a fireplace or media console
- Dining rooms, adding a warm glow on a dimmer
- Entryways, paired with a mirror or console table
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Outdoor areas without protection from rain or moisture
- Spaces where you need a primary light source - this is an accent fixture
How bright is it?
Lumen output not specified by manufacturer. With a 100W incandescent bulb (not included), it can produce a bright, warm glow, but it's best used as accent or task lighting rather than a room's main light.
