Description
A 1-light wall sconce from the Boreas collection, finished in antique brass with a Deco Swirl glass shade, designed for bedrooms and hallways.
The Boreas sconce brings the sleek silhouette of the Ballston series but adds a touch of flair with interchangeable glass or metal shades from the Franklin collection, letting you customize the look. The heavy cast backplate and steel construction give it a substantial feel, while the antique brass finish and Deco Swirl glass evoke a contemporary Art Deco style.
Best for
- Bedrooms, mounted as a reading sconce beside the bed
- Hallways, providing ambient accent light along a corridor
- Living rooms, flanking a fireplace or media console
- Entryways, adding a warm welcome
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Outdoor uncovered areas - not rated for wet locations
- Spaces with low ceilings if you prefer a flush mount - this sconce extends 4 inches from the wall
How bright is it?
Lumen output not specified by manufacturer, but it accepts one 100W incandescent bulb (not included) - typically around 1600 lumens, bright enough for accent or ambient lighting in medium-sized rooms.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, cozy feel, use a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The Deco Swirl glass diffuses light softly, reducing glare and creating a pleasant glow.
