Description

The Boreas sconce brings a sleek, contemporary look with a touch of Art Deco flair. Its polished nickel finish and striped white glass shade create a refined, custom feel that complements a variety of decor styles. The heavy cast backplate adds a substantial, quality presence to any wall.
Best for
- Bedrooms, mounted as a reading light beside the bed or above a nightstand
- Hallways and corridors, providing ambient accent lighting
- Living rooms, flanking a fireplace or media console
- Entryways, adding a warm welcome
- Damp locations like bathrooms, as it is UL/CUL damp rated
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas exposed to rain or direct water spray, as it is only damp rated
- Spaces with very low ceilings, as the sconce extends 4 inches from the wall
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer. It accepts one 100W incandescent bulb (not included), so brightness will depend on the bulb you choose. For reference, a 100W incandescent bulb typically produces about 1600 lumens, which is quite bright for a sconce and suitable for task or ambient lighting.
Light color and feel
Color temperature is not specified, but it is dimmable, so you can adjust the light to your preferred mood. The striped white glass shade diffuses light softly, creating a warm and inviting glow. It is compatible with incandescent, LED, fluorescent, and halogen bulbs, and is ADA compliant.
Sizing and fit
The sconce measures 4 inches long, 4.5 inches wide, and 13.75 inches high, with a 4-inch extension from the wall. It is designed for vertical mounting and comes with a 120-inch cord. The backplate is 4.5 inches wide and 9.5 inches high. It weighs 3 lbs. and requires partial assembly.
