Description
A 1-light wall sconce from the Boreas collection, finished in black antique brass with a seedy glass shade, designed for contemporary and Art Deco interiors.
The Boreas sconce combines the sleek silhouette of the Ballston with the ability to customize with glass or metal shades from the Franklin collection. Its heavy cast backplate and cylindrical glass shade create a refined, architectural look that suits hallways, bedrooms, and living spaces. The black antique brass finish adds a vintage touch, while the seedy glass diffuses light softly.
Best for
- Bedrooms, mounted as a reading light beside the bed or above nightstands
- Hallways and corridors, providing ambient accent lighting
- Living rooms, flanking a fireplace or console table
- Entryways, adding a warm welcome
- Damp-rated locations like bathrooms or covered patios
Not ideal for
- Spaces with very low ceilings, as the sconce extends 4 inches from the wall
- Primary room lighting in large open areas, as it is an accent fixture
