Description
A contemporary wall sconce with a matte black finish and a striped white glass shade, ideal for bedrooms and hallways.
The Boreas sconce from Innovations Lighting brings a sleek, Art Deco-inspired silhouette to your walls. Its heavy cast brass backplate and steel construction ensure durability, while the striped white glass shade adds a crisp, clean look. This fixture is dimmable and damp-rated, making it a versatile choice for various spaces.
Best for
- Bedrooms, mounted as a reading light beside the bed
- Hallways, providing ambient accent lighting
- Living rooms, flanking a fireplace or media console
- Entryways, adding a warm welcome
- Bathrooms, thanks to its damp-rated construction
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas without protection from the elements, as it is only damp-rated
- Spaces with very low ceilings, as the fixture extends 4 inches from the wall
How bright is it?
With a single 100W incandescent bulb (not included), this sconce can produce up to 1600 lumens, comparable to a traditional 100W bulb. This is suitable for accent or ambient lighting, not as a primary light source for large rooms.
Light color and feel
The color temperature depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, cozy feel, opt for a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The striped white glass shade diffuses light softly, creating a pleasant glow. This fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the mood.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 4 inches long, 4.5 inches wide, and 13.75 inches high, with a 4-inch extension from the wall. The backplate measures 4.5 inches wide by 9.5 inches high. This sconce works well in rooms with standard 8-foot ceilings and can be mounted vertically.
