Description
A 5-inch wall sconce from the Bridal Veil Collection, finished in black antique brass with a light smoke glass bell shade, for bedrooms, hallways, and living spaces.
The Ballston sconce brings an Art Nouveau and industrial vintage feel to any wall. Its sleek steel and cast brass frame, paired with a handblown light smoke glass shade, creates a unique, artisanal look. The vertical orientation and adjustable swivels allow for flexible lighting.
Best for
- Bedrooms, mounted as a reading light beside the bed or above a nightstand
- Hallways and corridors, providing ambient light along the wall
- Living rooms, flanking a fireplace or media console
- Entryways, adding a vintage touch near a mirror or console table
- Dining rooms, as accent lighting on a feature wall
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is rated for damp locations, not wet locations
- Outdoor areas without protection from rain or moisture
- Spaces where a bright, primary light source is needed - this is an accent fixture
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer. With a 100W incandescent bulb (not included), it provides ample accent light for its size. For a softer glow, use a lower-wattage LED bulb.
Light color and feel
Color temperature is not specified, but with a light smoke glass shade, the light will be diffused and slightly muted. Use a warm white LED (2700K-3000K) for a cozy, traditional feel. The fixture is not dimmable, so choose your bulb brightness accordingly.
Sizing and fit
This sconce measures 5 inches wide, 11.5 inches deep, and 9 inches high, with a 5.3-inch round backplate. It extends 11.5 inches from the wall, making it suitable for hallways and rooms with adequate wall space. The vertical orientation and adjustable swivels allow for up and down adjustments.
