Description
A 48-inch, 4-light island light from Innovations Lighting, finished in brushed brass with seedy glass shades, perfect for kitchen islands and dining areas.
The Ball Bridal Veil island light combines Art Nouveau elegance with industrial durability. Its bell-shaped seedy glass shades are handblown, giving each piece a unique, artisanal look. The brushed brass finish and steel/cast brass construction make it a sturdy, statement-making centerpiece for larger spaces.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 6 feet or longer, providing even task lighting
- Dining rooms, hung above a table for ambient and task light
- Large entryways or foyers, making a dramatic first impression
- Open-concept living areas, defining the kitchen zone
- Covered patios and porches, thanks to its damp rating
Not ideal for
- Small kitchens or islands under 4 feet - the 48-inch width may overwhelm
- Spaces with low ceilings - it needs at least 16.25 inches of hanging height
- Areas where you prefer a modern, minimalist look - this has a vintage, ornate style
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified, but it holds four 100-watt maximum bulbs (not included). With four 60-watt equivalent LEDs, you can expect around 3200 lumens total - bright enough for most kitchen tasks.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulbs you choose. For a warm, inviting glow, pick 2700K-3000K LEDs. The seedy glass shades diffuse light softly, reducing glare and creating a warm, ambient feel.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 5 inches deep, 48 inches wide, and 9.5 inches high. It includes two 6-inch and four 12-inch stems for a total hanging length of 30 inches, allowing a minimum height of 16.25 inches and a maximum of 40.25 inches. The canopy is 4.5 inches deep, 6 inches wide, and 0.75 inches high. It is sloped ceiling adaptable.
