Description
A 36-inch, three-light island pendant from the Bridal Veil Collection, finished in oil rubbed bronze with seedy glass shades - designed for kitchen islands and dining areas.
The Ballston pendant brings an artisanal, hand-blown glass quality to your kitchen or dining space. Its bell-shaped seedy glass shades diffuse light with a textured, vintage look, while the oil rubbed bronze frame adds an industrial touch. This fixture adapts to sloped ceilings with included swivels, making it a versatile choice for many homes.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 5-7 feet long, hung 30-36 inches above the counter
- Dining rooms over a table, providing ambient and task lighting
- Open-concept living areas where a statement fixture is needed
- Spaces with sloped ceilings, thanks to the included hang-straight swivels
- Homes with a vintage, industrial, or art nouveau aesthetic
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Low ceilings under 8 feet if you need the full 40-inch hanging length
- Spaces requiring a flush mount or close-to-ceiling installation
How bright is it?
This fixture uses three bulbs (not included) with a maximum of 100 watts per socket. With recommended ST64 bulbs, you can expect a warm, inviting glow suitable for ambient and task lighting. Lumen output depends on the bulbs you choose; for reference, a 60W incandescent bulb produces about 800 lumens.
Light color and feel
The seedy glass shades diffuse light, creating a soft, textured glow that flatters the surrounding decor. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the mood from bright task lighting to a cozy dinner ambiance. Use a standard dimmer switch for best results.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 36 inches wide, 5 inches deep, and 9.5 inches high. It includes two 6-inch and four 12-inch stems for a total hanging length of 30 inches, with a minimum height of 16.25 inches and a maximum of 40.25 inches. The rectangular canopy is 4.5 by 6 inches. Ideal for ceilings 8 feet or higher.
