Description
A 48-inch, 16-light chandelier from the Aurora Collection, finished in satin nickel with clear cut-glass shades, designed for grand dining rooms and two-story foyers.
The Aurora chandelier captivates with its radiating arms and faceted cut glass balls, creating a dazzling interplay of light. Its reflective surfaces and classic silhouette bring elegance and grandeur to any space, making it a true centerpiece. The satin nickel finish and clear glass ensure it complements a range of decor styles, from transitional to modern.
Best for
- Dining rooms with tables 60 inches or longer, hung 30-36 inches above the table surface
- Two-story foyers and entryways, where its 48-inch width makes a dramatic statement
- Living rooms with high ceilings, providing ambient light and visual interest
- Open-concept spaces that need a defining focal point
- Sloped or vaulted ceilings, thanks to the included 90-degree hang straight swivel
Not ideal for
- Rooms with ceilings under 9 feet, as the minimum hanging height is 18.25 inches and the fixture is large
- Small bedrooms or cozy nooks where a 48-inch chandelier would overwhelm the space
- Outdoor areas without overhead protection, despite the damp rating, as it is not rated for wet locations
How bright is it?
With 16 sockets, each rated for up to 100 watts (incandescent), the total brightness can reach 1600 watts or more. Using recommended LED bulbs (e.g., 112W equivalent) can provide ample light for large rooms. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the ambiance.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulbs you choose. For a warm, inviting glow, select bulbs with a color temperature of 2700K-3000K. The clear glass shades allow the light to sparkle, creating a lively, luxurious feel. The fixture is dimmable, so you can create a soft, intimate setting or bright, functional light.
Sizing and fit
The Aurora measures 48 inches in width and depth, with a height of 11.5 inches (excluding stems). The hanging height is adjustable from 18.25 to 42.25 inches using the included stems (one 6-inch and two 12-inch). The canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter. This chandelier is best suited for rooms with ceilings at least 9 feet high.
