Description
A 48-inch, 4-light island light in brushed satin nickel with mercury glass shades, designed for kitchen islands and dining areas.
The Athens collection combines industrial styling with a transitional sensibility. The brushed satin nickel finish on steel and cast brass is paired with mercury glass shades that add a vintage touch. This stem-hung fixture is damp-rated, making it suitable for covered outdoor areas as well.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 6-8 ft long, centered above the counter for task and ambient lighting
- Dining tables seating 4-6, hung 30-36 inches above the tabletop
- Covered patios or porches with a ceiling height of at least 8 ft
- Open-concept living spaces where the fixture serves as a visual anchor
Not ideal for
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 ft, as the minimum hanging height is 21.5 inches
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure (damp-rated, not wet-rated)
- Small powder rooms or hallways where a 48-inch width would overwhelm
How bright is it?
Uses four medium-base bulbs (not included, recommended ST64 vintage shape). With four 60W incandescent equivalent bulbs, total output is approximately 3200 lumens, comparable to a 200W incandescent fixture. Bright enough for task lighting over an island or primary dining table.
Light color and feel
Bulb color temperature is your choice. For a warm, inviting glow, use 2700K-3000K LED bulbs. The mercury glass shades diffuse light softly, reducing glare and creating a warm ambiance.

Returns
Almost all products on hausappeal.com are returnable. The few exceptions include unsealed mattresses, assembled or modified products, and clearance merchandise. Any product that is non-returnable will note that on its product page.
All returns must be unused and shipped back in the original packaging to the warehouse address from which the order was shipped.  To initiate a return, send an email to us at Service@hausappeal.com so that we can provide you with a Return Authorization Number. Upon inspection of the return, you will receive a full refund of product cost minus our outbound shipping costs.
