A 40-inch, 6-light chandelier in antique brass with mercury glass shades, designed for dining rooms and living rooms with a vintage-industrial aesthetic.
The Athens chandelier combines antique brass metalwork with mercury glass globes, creating a dynamic play of light and reflection. Its six arms and adjustable hanging height make it a versatile centerpiece for a range of interior styles, from industrial loft to transitional.
Best for
- Dining rooms with tables 60-72 inches long, hung 30-36 inches above the table surface

How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulbs you choose. With six medium-base sockets, using 60W equivalent LED bulbs (about 800 lumens each) yields roughly 4800 lumens total - bright enough to illuminate a 12x14 ft dining room as the primary light source. For a softer ambient glow, use lower-wattage vintage-style bulbs.
Light color and feel
The mercury glass shades diffuse light with a soft, slightly reflective quality, creating a warm, inviting glow. For a classic warm ambiance, use 2700K-3000K LED bulbs. The open-bottom shade design allows some direct downward light, making it suitable for task lighting over a dining table.
Sizing and fit
The chandelier measures 39.75 inches wide and 14 inches tall, with an adjustable hanging height from 23 to 47 inches (including the canopy). The canopy is 4.875 inches in diameter and 0.875 inches tall. It weighs 6 lbs and is sloped-ceiling adaptable. Ideal for rooms 12x12 ft or larger.

Is the bulb included? No, bulbs are not included. The fixture uses six medium-base (E26) bulbs, and ST64 vintage-style bulbs are recommended for the best aesthetic.
Is it dimmable, and what dimmer should I use? Dimmability depends on the bulbs you choose. If you use dimmable LED bulbs, the fixture is dimmable with a standard LED-compatible dimmer. The fixture itself does not include a dimmer.
Can I install this in a bathroom or outdoors? It is UL listed for damp locations, so it can be used in covered outdoor areas, sunrooms, or bathrooms away from direct water spray. It is not rated for wet locations (direct rain or shower spray).

Returns
Almost all products on hausappeal.com are returnable. The few exceptions include unsealed mattresses, assembled or modified products, and clearance merchandise. Any product that is non-returnable will note that on its product page.
All returns must be unused and shipped back in the original packaging to the warehouse address from which the order was shipped.  To initiate a return, send an email to us at Service@hausappeal.com so that we can provide you with a Return Authorization Number. Upon inspection of the return, you will receive a full refund of product cost minus our outbound shipping costs.
