Description
A 28-inch, 5-light chandelier from the Athens collection, finished in matte black with mercury glass shades, ideal for dining rooms and living rooms.
The Athens chandelier blends industrial and transitional style with a matte black steel and cast brass frame and five globe-shaped mercury glass shades. The vintage-inspired design works well in modern, contemporary, or restoration-style interiors. Sloped ceiling adaptable.
Best for
- Dining rooms with tables 48-60 in long, hung 30-36 in above the table surface
- Living rooms and great rooms with ceilings 8 ft or higher, as a central focal point
- Open-concept spaces where the fixture is visible from multiple seating areas
- Entryways and foyers with a two-story ceiling, hung at a height that clears the door
Not ideal for
- Low ceilings under 8 ft - the minimum hanging height is 26.5 in, which may be too low for comfortable clearance
- Spaces requiring a very bright, even light - this fixture uses 5 bulbs (not included) and is best for ambient or accent lighting
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulbs you choose. With five medium-base sockets, you can install up to 60W equivalent LED bulbs per socket for a total of about 3000-4000 lumens, suitable for ambient lighting in medium to large rooms. For a dimmer effect, use lower-wattage vintage bulbs.
Light color and feel
The mercury glass shades diffuse light softly, creating a warm, ambient glow. For a classic vintage look, pair with ST64-style bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K). The fixture is dimmable when used with compatible dimmer switches and dimmable bulbs.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions: 28 in wide x 28 in deep x 17.5 in high. Adjustable height from 26.5 to 50.5 in using the included chain. Canopy is 4.75 in diameter x 0.75 in high. Suitable for rooms 10x10 ft or larger. Sloped ceiling adaptable.

Returns
Almost all products on hausappeal.com are returnable. The few exceptions include unsealed mattresses, assembled or modified products, and clearance merchandise. Any product that is non-returnable will note that on its product page.
All returns must be unused and shipped back in the original packaging to the warehouse address from which the order was shipped.  To initiate a return, send an email to us at Service@hausappeal.com so that we can provide you with a Return Authorization Number. Upon inspection of the return, you will receive a full refund of product cost minus our outbound shipping costs.
