Description
An 8-inch single-light mini pendant from the Astor collection, finished in matte black with a seedy glass globe - a rustic-modern accent for kitchens and dining areas.
This pendant features a matte black metal frame with a white rope-wrapped stem and a hand-blown seedy glass globe shade, blending industrial and transitional styles. The included stems allow for customizable hanging lengths up to 30 inches, and the 90-degree swivel makes it sloped ceiling adaptable. Dimmable and damp-rated, it's a versatile choice for many rooms.
Best for
- Kitchen islands, hung 28-34 inches above the counter for focused task lighting
- Dining rooms, centered over a table for ambient and accent light
- Entryways or stairwells as a statement piece
- Damp-rated locations like covered patios or bathrooms
Not ideal for
- Large open living rooms needing broad ambient light - this is a focused accent light
- Spaces with very low ceilings, as the minimum hanging height is 18.5 inches
How bright is it?
This fixture uses a single 100W incandescent bulb (not included). With an LED replacement, you can achieve 800-1100 lumens, similar to a 60-75W incandescent. It's ideal for task lighting over a counter or table, not as a primary room light.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, cozy feel, use a 2700K LED bulb. The seedy glass shade diffuses light softly, creating a warm glow, and the fixture is dimmable for adjustable ambiance.
Sizing and fit
The pendant measures 8 inches in diameter and 11.75 inches high, with a hanging height range of 18.5 to 42.5 inches. The included stems (one 6-inch and two 12-inch) allow for customization. It's suitable for standard 8-10 ft ceilings.
