Description
A modern globe pendant with a polished nickel finish and white rope accent, perfect for kitchen islands and dining areas.
The Astor collection features an intricate stem with a rope design, blending rustic charm with modern elegance. The hand-blown glass globe shade adds texture and depth, while the polished nickel finish offers a sleek, contemporary look. This pendant is damp-rated and dimmable, providing versatile lighting for various spaces.
Best for
- Kitchen islands, hung in a row of two or three for task lighting
- Dining rooms, providing focused light over a table
- Entryways and foyers with high ceilings
- Living rooms with a modern or transitional style
- Breakfast bars and counter seating areas
Not ideal for
- Large rooms needing bright, primary illumination—this is an accent light, not a main light source
- Outdoor areas exposed to direct rain, as it is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet if you need the full 120-inch cord length
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulb you choose. It accepts one medium-base (E26) bulb up to 100W equivalent. With a 100W incandescent bulb, you'll get about 1600 lumens—similar to a traditional 100W bulb, suitable for task lighting over a large island or table. For a softer glow, use a 60W bulb.
Light color and feel
The light color is determined by the bulb. For a warm, cozy feel, choose a 2700K-3000K bulb. The hand-blown glass shade diffuses light evenly, creating a soft, ambient glow. The fixture is dimmable when used with a compatible dimmer and dimmable bulb.
Sizing and fit
The shade measures 14 inches in diameter and 12.13 inches in height. The overall fixture is 14 inches long, 14 inches wide, and 18.5 inches high, with a 120-inch adjustable cord. The minimum hanging height is 22.25 inches, and the maximum is 139.25 inches. Ideal for ceilings 8-12 feet high.
