Description
A 14-inch single-light cord pendant with a clear glass globe shade, finished in brushed brass, for kitchen islands and dining areas.
The Astor pendant combines rustic charm with modern elegance, featuring an intricate stem and a hand-blown glass globe that adds texture and depth. The brushed brass finish and clear glass create a warm, inviting glow, perfect for a variety of interior styles from industrial to transitional.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and breakfast bars, hung in a row or singly for focused task lighting
- Dining rooms and eat-in kitchens, providing ambient light over a table
- Entryways and foyers, adding a statement piece with a warm welcome
- Living rooms and reading nooks, offering a soft, decorative glow
- Covered patios and porches, thanks to its damp-rated construction
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure, as it is damp-rated but not wet-rated
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet if you need the full 120-inch cord, as it may hang too low
- Rooms requiring bright, task-level illumination, as this is more of an accent light
How bright is it?
With a maximum 100-watt bulb, this pendant can emit up to 1600 lumens (if using a 100W incandescent), but typical use with a 60W bulb provides about 800 lumens - similar to a standard table lamp, ideal for ambient and accent lighting rather than primary room illumination.
Light color and feel
The clear glass shade allows the bulb's true color to shine through. For a warm, cozy feel, use a 2700K-3000K bulb. The fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the brightness to suit your mood. The hand-blown glass adds subtle variations that enhance the light's character.
Sizing and fit
The pendant measures 14 inches in diameter and 18.5 inches in height, with an adjustable hanging height from 22.13 to 139.13 inches thanks to the 120-inch cord. It is sloped ceiling compatible, making it versatile for various ceiling types. The canopy is 4.75 inches in diameter.
