Description
A 10-inch mini pendant from the Astor Collection, finished in matte black with a white rope-wrapped stem and seedy glass globe, for kitchen islands and dining nooks.
The Astor combines rustic charm with modern elegance through its intricate stem, available in detailed metal or rope designs. The hand-blown glass globe adds texture and depth, while the matte black finish grounds the fixture in industrial and transitional styles. With a 120-inch cord that can be cut to length, it adapts to various ceiling heights.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and breakfast bars, hung in a row of two or three for task and ambient light
- Dining rooms and eat-in kitchens, centered over a table for a warm glow
- Entryways and stairwells, adding a sculptural accent
- Living rooms and reading nooks, providing focused light over a side table or desk
- Covered patios and porches, thanks to its damp-rated construction
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - the fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet if you need the full 120-inch drop
- Primary room lighting in large open-plan areas - it's a single 100W bulb
How bright is it?
With a maximum 100W incandescent bulb (not included), this pendant can produce roughly 1600 lumens - similar to a traditional 100W bulb, bright enough for task lighting over a kitchen island or dining table. For a softer glow, use a lower-wattage LED or dimmer.
Light color and feel
The seedy glass shade diffuses light, creating a warm, textured glow. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust from a bright, functional light to a soft, ambient one. The color temperature depends on the bulb you choose; for a warm, inviting feel, select a 2700K-3000K LED.
Sizing and fit
The pendant measures 10 inches wide and 13.75 inches high, with an adjustable drop from 17.5 to 134.5 inches. The canopy is 4.75 inches in diameter. It suits most ceiling heights and is sloped-ceiling compatible.
