Innovations Backplate 5in Universal Vanity Plate | Transitional Polished Nickel Cast Brass | Bathroom & Powder Room Mounting | Model BP-5-PN

A 5-inch universal vanity plate in polished nickel, designed to cover outdated or mismatched wall openings when installing a new light fixture.

This oversized backplate from Innovations Lighting is a simple, practical solution for bathroom and powder room remodels. Made of cast brass with a warm, reflective polished nickel finish, it adds a touch of transitional elegance while hiding unsightly holes or old mounting boxes. Whether you're updating a single sconce or a multi-light vanity, this plate provides a clean, finished look.

Best for

• Bathrooms with a single or double vanity, covering old fixture mounting holes during a lighting upgrade
• Powder rooms where a new sconce or vanity light has a smaller canopy than the previous one
• Hallways or entryways when replacing a wall light and needing to cover a larger junction box
• DIY remodelers who want a quick, clean fix without patching and painting drywall
• Transitional and traditional interiors that pair well with polished nickel fixtures

Not ideal for

• New construction where no existing holes need covering - a standard canopy would suffice
• Spaces with a modern or contemporary aesthetic that calls for a sleek, minimal plate in matte black or satin nickel
• Outdoor or damp locations, as this backplate is designed for indoor use only

Style and finish

The polished nickel finish has a warm, silver tone that is slightly softer than chrome, offering a classic, upscale look. It pairs beautifully with traditional and transitional decor, complementing brushed nickel and chrome accessories. The cast brass construction ensures durability and a substantial feel.

Materials and care

This backplate is made of cast brass, a sturdy material that resists corrosion. To clean, wipe gently with a soft, damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the polished surface. Care instructions not specified by manufacturer.
