Hudson Valley Independence 11in 1-Light Semi-Flush Mount | Traditional Old Bronze Metal | Bedroom & Hallway Ceiling Light | Model 9101-OB

A 1-light semi-flush ceiling mount in Old Bronze, sized for bedrooms, hallways, and other rooms with standard 8-9 ft ceilings.

The Independence keeps a low profile while still reading as a designed piece. The Old Bronze finish is a deep, warm brown-black with subtle antiquing that suits traditional and transitional interiors, and the compact 11-inch diameter means it sits close to the ceiling without crowding a small room.

Best for

• Bedrooms 10x12 ft or larger, centered as the main ambient light
• Hallways and foyers where a hanging fixture would be too low
• Closets, laundry rooms, and utility spaces that need a clean ceiling light
• Rooms with 8-9 ft ceilings where a pendant would hang too close to head height

Not ideal for

• Large open rooms - a single 60W fixture will not light a great room on its own
• Bathrooms with direct shower exposure unless your electrician confirms the location rating
• Anyone wanting a dimmable fixture out of the box - dimming depends on the bulb and switch you supply

How bright is it?

Brightness depends on the bulb you install. With a standard 60W-equivalent A19 LED you get roughly 800 lumens - about the output of a traditional 60W incandescent, enough for ambient light in a bedroom or hallway but not a primary light for a large room.

Light color and feel

Color temperature is set by the bulb, not the fixture. A 2700K-3000K warm white A19 gives a soft, familiar glow that flatters the Old Bronze finish and warm wood tones. Choose a dimmable bulb if you want to pair it with a compatible dimmer switch.

Sizing and fit

11 in diameter x 9 in high. The semi-flush design keeps the fixture close to the ceiling, so it works well in rooms with 8-9 ft ceilings and in hallways where clearance matters. Product weight is 4 lbs.

Frequently asked

Is the bulb included? No - it takes one A19 medium-base bulb, sold separately.

Is it dimmable? Dimming depends on the bulb and wall switch you use; a dimmable bulb plus a compatible dimmer will dim the fixture.

Can I install this in a bathroom or outdoors? The manufacturer does not list a damp or wet location rating for this fixture, so treat it as an indoor, dry-location light.

What's the warranty? Warranty terms are not specified in the supplied product data - check with Hudson Valley directly.

Will it work on a sloped ceiling? Semi-flush mounts are designed for flat ceilings; sloped-ceiling installation is not specified by the manufacturer.
