Description
A 22-inch wide tapered lamp shade in Primrose Red printed cotton, sized for larger table and floor lamp bases that need a broader, softer silhouette.
The Gathered Wide Taper Shade is cut wider than a standard taper so it relaxes the whole lamp instead of perching on top of it. The printed cotton textile carries a gathered, softly pleated look that reads warm and layered rather than crisp and tailored. Primrose Red is a muted, dusty red that sits comfortably with wood tones, cream upholstery, and brass or aged metal bases.
Best for
- Bedrooms and living rooms where a large table lamp or floor lamp base needs a wider, statement shade
- Lamps with a 6-inch top spider or harp fitting that can carry a 22-inch bottom width
- Warm, layered interiors - cottage, traditional, and relaxed transitional rooms
- Refreshing an existing lamp rather than replacing the whole piece
Not ideal for
- Slim or small-scale lamp bases - a 22-inch bottom width will look top-heavy on a narrow column
- Rooms built around cool grays and crisp whites if you want a neutral shade
- Anyone expecting a hardback shade - this is a soft textile shade with a gathered finish
Style and finish
Primrose Red printed cotton over a textile body, with a gathered wide taper profile. The look is soft and slightly vintage, closer to a collected traditional room than a modern minimalist one.
