Description
An 18-inch gathered drum lamp shade in Primrose Red printed cotton, a balanced classic proportion for everyday table and floor lamps.
The Gathered Drum Shade keeps the even, cylindrical drum profile most lamps are built around, then softens it with a gathered printed cotton textile that adds warmth and a little texture. Primrose Red is a muted, dusty red that works with cream, wood, and aged brass rather than fighting them. It is the easy swap when a lamp works but its shade has gone flat.
Best for
- Bedrooms and living rooms with standard table lamps or floor lamps
- Lamps with a 17-inch top fitting and a base that suits an 18-inch bottom width
- Warm, layered interiors - cottage, traditional, and relaxed transitional rooms
- Pairing two shades across a matched pair of bedside lamps
Not ideal for
- Oversized lamp bases that need a wider 22-inch shade
- Rooms built around cool grays and crisp whites if you want a neutral shade
- Anyone expecting a hardback shade - this is a soft textile shade with a gathered finish
Style and finish
Primrose Red printed cotton over a textile body, in a softly gathered drum silhouette. The look is warm and classic, closer to a collected traditional room than a modern minimalist one.
