Description
A plug-in wall sconce in satin brass with a fabric shade, made for renters and anyone who wants bedside light without hiring an electrician.
The WL609 hangs on the wall like a permanent sconce but plugs into any standard outlet with its 2-prong cord, so you can add warm accent light in a bedroom, hallway, or reading nook without opening a wall. The satin brass finish is soft and low-luster rather than mirror-bright, and the fabric shade diffuses the bulb into a gentle glow.
Best for
- Bedrooms where you want a reading light beside the bed without running new wiring
- Hallways and stair landings that need a soft accent light at eye level
- Rentals and apartments where hardwired fixtures are not an option
- Living room corners paired with a chair or sofa for ambient light
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - this fixture is rated for dry locations only
- Very small spaces where a 7.5-inch wall projection would crowd a doorway or walkway
- Anyone who wants a hardwired, switch-controlled fixture - this is a plug-in model with an in-line switch
How bright is it?
Takes one 60W B10 incandescent bulb (not included). Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer, but a 60W incandescent typically produces around 800 lumens - enough for reading or ambient accent light, not for lighting a whole room.
Light color and feel
With an incandescent bulb the light is warm white, roughly 2700K - a soft, golden tone that flatters skin tones and wood furniture. Color temperature depends on the bulb you choose; the fixture itself does not set it.
Sizing and fit
13.75 inches tall with a 7.5-inch extension from the wall, so it stands out about as far as a small shelf. The backplate is 2.25 x 4.5 inches and the shade measures 4 x 7 x 5.75 inches. Works well on walls beside a bed or in a hallway where the sconce can sit at roughly eye level.

Frequently asked
Is the bulb included? No - one 60W B10 incandescent bulb is required and sold separately.
Is it dimmable, and what dimmer should I use? The fixture has an in-line on/off switch and is not listed as dimmable; dimming would depend on the bulb and a compatible dimmer, which the manufacturer does not specify.
Can I install this in a bathroom or outdoors? No - it is rated for dry locations only.
What's the warranty? Warranty information is not specified by the manufacturer.
How does the satin brass finish compare to polished brass? Satin brass has a soft, brushed look with less shine than polished brass, so it reads more relaxed and less formal in a bedroom or hallway.
