Description
A 24-inch plug-in picture light in antique brass, designed to cast even, adjustable light across large paintings, prints, and gallery walls.
The Traditional series from House of Troy is the picture light that museums and designers reach for when artwork needs to be seen accurately. The antique brass finish has a warm, slightly aged tone that reads traditional without feeling dated, and the 24-inch metal shade spans wide canvases and multi-panel arrangements. A 2-prong plug-in cord and in-line hi-lo switch mean no hardwiring is required.
Best for
- Living rooms and home galleries with large framed art 30 inches wide or more
- Above a fireplace mantel where a painting or mirror is the focal point
- Home offices and studies with a statement print or map on the wall
- Rental spaces where hardwiring is not an option - plugs into a standard outlet
Not ideal for
- Very small frames under 18 inches wide - the 24-inch shade will overhang
- Spaces where a visible cord is unacceptable - this is a plug-in model, not hardwired
- Outdoor or damp locations - not rated for those environments
How bright is it?
Uses three 25W or 40W T10 incandescent bulbs (not included). With 40W bulbs, expect roughly 1,500 lumens total - bright enough to illuminate a large canvas without washing it out. The in-line hi-lo switch lets you drop to a softer accent level.
Light color and feel
Warm white with incandescent bulbs - a soft, golden tone that flatters oil paintings, warm-toned prints, and wood frames. For cooler or more neutral light, choose a 3000K LED T10 bulb with the same base.
Sizing and fit
Shade measures 24 inches wide; overall dimensions are 4 in W x 8 in D x 27 in H with 5-7 inches of extension from the wall. The adjustable arm lets you angle light directly onto the artwork. Works well in rooms with 8-10 ft ceilings.
