Description
A 42-inch six-light picture light in antique brass with mahogany bronze accents, built to light a very large canvas or a long gallery wall in warm, even light.
The Steamer collection borrows from classic museum and library lighting: a long metal shade that directs light down and across the artwork instead of into the room. The antique brass body carries a soft, aged warmth, while the mahogany bronze accents on the shade and backplate add depth and a traditional, slightly antique character.
Best for
- Living rooms and great rooms with an oversized canvas or a long row of framed art
- Home galleries, stairwells, and hallways where a 42-inch span covers several frames
- Studies and libraries above built-ins, a mantel, or a large map or print
- Hospitality and office reception walls that need even, glare-free art lighting
Not ideal for
- Small or narrow walls - the 42-inch shade will overhang a single modest frame
- Spaces where you want ambient room light; this is an accent light for artwork, not a primary light source
- Very low ceilings, since the arm projects 12.5 inches from the wall
How bright is it?
Six 40W T10 incandescent bulbs (not included) give roughly 2,700-3,000 lumens combined - enough to light a very large painting or a full gallery wall clearly without washing out the colors. It is an accent light, not a room light.
Light color and feel
Light color depends on the bulbs you choose. A 25W or 40W T10 incandescent gives a warm, golden 2700K tone that flatters oil paintings, warm woods, and brass frames. For a cooler, more neutral look, choose a compatible LED T10 in the same base.
Sizing and fit
Overall 42 in wide x 12.5 in deep x 4.5 in high, with a 4.5 x 32 in backplate. The 42-inch shade is best matched to artwork roughly 42-54 inches wide, and the 12.5-inch projection keeps light off the wall above the frame. Works on standard 8-9 ft walls.

Frequently asked
Is the bulb included? No - six 40W T10 incandescent bulbs are sold separately.
Is it dimmable? Dimmability depends on the bulbs and wall switch used; the fixture itself has no built-in dimmer. Use dimmable bulbs with a compatible dimmer.
Can I install this in a bathroom or outdoors? No - it is an indoor accent light and is not rated for damp or wet locations.
What's the warranty? Warranty terms are not specified by the manufacturer in the supplied data.
How does the antique brass finish compare to polished brass? Antique brass is a softer, aged tone with a muted sheen rather than a bright mirror polish, so it reads traditional rather than contemporary.
