Description
A 26.5-inch ceramic table lamp with a cream linen hardback shade, handmade in the USA and finished in Oatmeal.
The Scatchard lamp pairs a hand-thrown stoneware base with a crisp cream linen shade. The Oatmeal glaze is a soft, neutral beige that blends easily with warm and cool palettes alike. It's a classic silhouette that works in traditional, transitional, and coastal rooms.
Best for
- Bedrooms, as a bedside lamp on a large nightstand (the 17-inch footprint needs a substantial table)
- Living rooms and sitting areas, on an end table beside a sofa or reading chair
- Home offices and studies, where the 3-way switch lets you go from ambient to task lighting
- Entryway consoles or buffets that need a warm anchor
Not ideal for
- Small side tables or narrow nightstands - the 17-inch diameter shade and base need a tabletop at least 20 inches wide
- Rooms where you want a focused reading beam - the wide linen shade spreads light softly rather than directing it
- Outdoor or damp locations - this lamp is rated for dry indoor use only
How bright is it?
Takes one 150W medium-base bulb (not included). With a 3-way bulb you get low, medium, and high settings, so it can serve as a soft accent light or a bright task light. Lumen output depends on the bulb you choose; the manufacturer does not specify a lumen rating.
Light color and feel
Light color is determined by the bulb you install. The cream linen hardback shade warms and diffuses the light, giving a soft glow that flatters wood tones and neutral palettes. Use a warm-white bulb (2700-3000K) for a cozy feel, or a cooler bulb for task work.
Sizing and fit
Overall 17 in D x 17 in W x 26.5 in H. The base is 5 inches in diameter and the shade measures 5 in top x 17 in bottom x 12 in high. At 26.5 inches tall, it suits nightstands and end tables 24-28 inches high. The 3-way switch is on the socket.
