Description
A 16-inch plug-in picture light in weathered brass, designed to wash artwork and portraits in warm, even light.
The Hyde Park's weathered brass finish has a muted, lived-in patina that suits rustic, traditional, and collected interiors. Its wide 16-inch metal shade spreads light across the whole canvas rather than a single hot spot, and the 2-prong cord plugs into any standard outlet - no electrician needed. The in-line hi-lo switch lets you adjust brightness at the cord.
Best for
- Living rooms and hallways with framed art 24-40 in wide
- Home galleries and stairwells where new wiring isn't practical
- Rustic, traditional, and transitional rooms with aged metal or wood accents
- Renters wanting gallery-style lighting from a standard outlet
Not ideal for
- Canvases over 40 in wide - a 16 in shade won't cover the full surface evenly
- Spaces where a visible cord is unacceptable; this is a plug-in design, not hardwired
- Anyone expecting bulbs in the box - lamps are sold separately
How bright is it?
Takes two 25T10 or 40T10 incandescent bulbs (not included). With 40W lamps it gives a soft accent wash for highlighting art rather than lighting a whole room. Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer.
Light color and feel
Color temperature follows the incandescent bulbs you choose - typically a warm 2700K-3000K glow that flatters oil paintings, warm photography, and wood frames. The hi-lo in-line switch offers two brightness levels; no wall dimmer needed.
Sizing and fit
Shade width is 16 in with a 12 in extension from the wall, clearing deep frames. Overall dimensions are W 10 in x D 16 in x H 24 in; weight is 6 lbs. Works best with ceilings 8 ft or higher.
