Description
A 14-inch direct-wire LED picture light in weathered brass, made to wash artwork, portraits, and gallery walls in warm, even light.
The Guilford keeps a low, traditional profile that reads as furniture rather than hardware. The weathered brass finish has a soft, lived-in patina that suits wood-paneled libraries, oil paintings, and rooms with aged metals. A diffused lens spreads light evenly across the canvas with no UV, so colors stay true over time.
Best for
- Living rooms and studies with a single framed painting or print 20-30 in wide
- Gallery walls and stair landings where art needs its own accent light
- Home offices and libraries with wood shelving and warm brass accents
- Direct-wire installations where a hardwired wall box is already in place
Not ideal for
- Rentals or spots without an existing wall box - this is a direct-wire model, not a plug-in
- Oversized canvases wider than about 30 in; step up to the 24-inch Guilford
- Use outside the United States - designed for 110-120V wiring only
How bright is it?
360 lumens - roughly the output of a 30-40W incandescent bulb. That is accent-level light, enough to make a painting glow without washing out the room or casting glare on the glass.
Light color and feel
2700K warm white with a 90 CRI rating - a soft, golden tone close to traditional incandescent, and accurate enough that reds, skin tones, and deep blues in a painting read correctly. Dimmable with a standard dimmer so you can drop it low for evening viewing.
Sizing and fit
Overall 14 in wide x 11 in deep x 4.5 in high, with an 8 x 4.5 in backplate. The 11-inch projection reaches out over a canvas, so leave clearance above the frame. Best on walls with at least 12 in of open space above the artwork.
