Description
A 10-inch black piano lamp that clamps onto the music stand and provides focused light for playing and reading music.
The Grand Piano lamp from House of Troy is a practical and stylish choice for pianists. The black metal finish blends with most pianos and music room decor, while the metal shade directs light downward onto the keys and sheet music. The clamp base adjusts to fit music stands up to 0.75 inches thick, and the switch is located on the shade for easy access.
Best for
- Grand pianos and upright pianos where the music stand needs direct light
- Home music rooms and teaching studios
- Desks or reading nooks that need a compact clip-on task light
- Modern or traditional decor with black accents
Not ideal for
- Music stands thicker than 0.75 inches - the clamp will not fit
- Spaces where a plug-in cord is inconvenient; this model has a cord (length not specified)
- Rooms that need bright ambient lighting - this is a focused task lamp
How bright is it?
Uses one 25W or 40W T10 incandescent bulb (not included). Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer, but a 40W T10 typically provides around 400-500 lumens - enough to illuminate sheet music and keys, not a whole room.
Light color and feel
With an incandescent bulb, the light is warm white (around 2700K), similar to traditional household bulbs. It flatters wood finishes and is easy on the eyes for reading music. If you prefer a different color temperature, you can use a compatible LED T10 bulb (not included).
Sizing and fit
The lamp is 8.5 inches tall with a 10-inch shade. The clamp base adjusts to fit music stands up to 0.75 inches thick. Overall dimensions are approximately 6.5 inches long, 10 inches wide, and 8.5 inches high. It weighs 3 pounds.
