House of Troy Direct Wire 20in 1-Light Library Wall Lamp | Traditional Oil Rubbed Bronze Metal | Bedroom & Hallway Reading Light | Model DL20-OB

A 20-inch direct-wire library wall lamp in oil rubbed bronze, designed for bedside reading and hallway accent lighting.

The Direct Wire collection brings the classic swing-arm library lamp to a hardwired wall mount. The oil rubbed bronze finish has a dark, hand-rubbed look that pairs naturally with wood furniture and traditional interiors, while the metal shade directs light exactly where you need it. Because it wires directly into the wall, there is no cord to manage and no outlet required.

Best for

• Primary bedrooms, mounted beside the bed as a reading light in place of a table lamp
• Hallways and stair landings where a wall-mounted accent light saves floor space
• Home offices and studies that need focused task light over a desk or reading chair
• Living rooms flanking a fireplace or built-in bookshelf

Not ideal for

• Renters or anyone who cannot run new wiring - this is a direct-wire fixture, not a plug-in lamp
• Very small powder rooms where a 16.5-inch extension would project too far into the walkway
• Spaces that need broad ambient light - this is a focused task and accent lamp

How bright is it?

Takes one 100W Type A incandescent bulb (not included). At full output that is roughly 1,600 lumens - bright enough for reading and close task work, but directional enough that it will not light a whole room on its own.

Light color and feel

Light color depends on the bulb you choose. A 2700K-3000K warm white bulb gives the soft, golden feel typical of a library lamp and flatters wood and bronze finishes. The fixture is not listed as dimmable in the manufacturer specs; use a dimmable bulb and compatible dimmer only if your wiring supports it.

Sizing and fit

Overall 6 in wide x 13 in deep x 17 in tall, with a 16.5-inch extension from the wall and a 4.5 x 4.5 in backplate. The 20-inch arm reaches comfortably over a nightstand or desk. Works well with ceilings 8 ft and higher; check that the 16.5-inch projection clears traffic paths.
