Description
A 64-inch plug-in picture light in chrome, built to wash large canvases, gallery walls, and oversized artwork in warm, even light.
The Slimline series is House of Troy's answer to the problem every art lover hits: how to light a wide piece without a visible, bulky fixture. The low-profile metal shade runs the full 64 inches, so a single unit covers a large canvas or a row of framed prints. Chrome gives it a crisp, high-shine finish that suits contemporary and modern interiors.
Best for
- Living rooms and dens with a large canvas or wide framed piece above a sofa or console
- Home galleries and stairwell walls lined with a row of prints
- Contemporary and modern spaces where chrome hardware is already in play
- Plug-in installations where no hardwired junction box is available
Not ideal for
- Very small artworks - a 64-inch shade will overpower anything narrower than about 4 feet
- Spaces where a visible 2-prong cord running to an outlet is unacceptable
- Anyone expecting a hardwired install - this model is plug-in only
How bright is it?
Thirteen 15T4 incandescent bulbs are included. Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer, but a 13-bulb array across 64 inches is designed for broad, even artwork illumination rather than room lighting.
Light color and feel
Incandescent T4 bulbs produce a warm, golden-white light that flatters oil paintings, wood frames, and warm-toned prints. Color temperature and CRI are not specified by the manufacturer.
Sizing and fit
The shade spans 64 inches with an 8-inch extension from the wall, and the overall unit measures 4 in wide x 10 in deep x 66 in high. It suits walls with roughly 5-6 feet of uninterrupted horizontal space above the artwork. The in-line hi-lo switch sits on the cord for easy reach.

Frequently asked

Is it dimmable, and what dimmer should I use? It uses an in-line hi-lo switch on the cord rather than a wall dimmer; no dimmer compatibility is specified by the manufacturer.
Can I install this in a bathroom or outdoors? No location rating is stated by the manufacturer, so treat it as an indoor, dry-area picture light.
What's the warranty? Warranty terms are not specified in the supplied data - confirm with House of Troy.
Does it need to be hardwired? No - it plugs into a standard outlet with a 2-prong cord, which makes it a good fit for rentals and walls without wiring.
