Description
A 24-inch plug-in picture light in weathered brass, made for lighting large paintings and wide framed art in living rooms and galleries.
The longer 24-inch shade spreads light across a wide canvas instead of a narrow band, which is what larger artwork needs. Weathered brass is a muted, aged brass tone with a softer, less reflective look than polished brass - it suits traditional and transitional rooms with wood or antique frames. The 2-prong cord and in-line hi-lo switch keep installation simple.
Best for
- Living rooms and galleries with paintings or prints 30-48 in wide
- Dining rooms and hallways where a large framed piece anchors the wall
- Traditional and transitional interiors with wood or antique frames
- Rentals and apartments - plug-in cord, no hardwiring
Not ideal for
- Small prints and photos - a 24-inch shade overpowers a narrow frame; the 9-inch model fits better
- Hardwired installations - this is a plug-in model only
- Rooms where you want a bright, polished metallic accent - weathered brass is intentionally muted
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer. It takes three 25W or 40W B10 incandescent bulbs (not included), giving a broad accent wash across a large canvas rather than general room light.
Light color and feel
Color temperature follows the bulbs you choose - warm-white incandescent around 2700K is typical for art lighting and keeps canvas and paper tones natural. The in-line hi-lo switch offers two brightness levels without a wall dimmer.
Sizing and fit
Measures 4 in wide x 8 in deep x 27 in high with a 24-inch shade and 5-7 in extension from the wall. At 4 lbs it needs a solid mounting point above the frame. Best suited to standard 8-9 ft ceilings in living rooms, dining rooms, and galleries.
