Description
A 15-inch direct-wire LED picture light in chrome, made to light framed art in living rooms, galleries, and studies without washing out the colors.
The Mendon pairs a slim metal shade with a clean chrome finish, so it reads as part of the frame rather than a spotlight bolted to the wall. It runs on an integrated 4.5W LED at 2700K and 90 CRI, which means warm, accurate light that flatters oils, prints, and photography. Direct-wire installation keeps the look uncluttered - no cord to hide.
Best for
- Living rooms and home galleries lighting framed art 15 inches wide or narrower
- Studies and home offices with a single statement print above a desk
- Hallways and stair landings where a hardwired, cord-free look matters
- Anyone who wants warm, color-accurate light on artwork rather than a cool white wash
Not ideal for
- Rentals or rooms without an existing wall box - this is a direct-wire fixture, not plug-in
- Very large canvases wider than the 15-inch shade, which will leave the edges dim
- Buyers outside the United States - it is built for 110V wiring
How bright is it?
360 lumens - roughly the output of a 30-40W incandescent bulb, concentrated on the artwork. That is accent-level light, ideal for making a piece read clearly without lighting the whole room.
Light color and feel
2700K warm white gives a soft, golden tone close to traditional incandescent, which keeps warm colors in paintings from going flat. At 90 CRI it renders colors accurately, so reds, skin tones, and wood grains stay true. Dimming depends on the wall dimmer you pair it with; confirm LED compatibility before installing.
Sizing and fit
Overall 19 in wide x 8 in deep x 2.75 in high, with a 19 x 2.75 in backplate and a 15 in shade. The 8-inch projection throws light down the face of the art; mount it roughly a third of the frame height above the top edge. Best on standard 8-9 ft walls.
