The Orwell pendant takes its cues from vintage factory lighting: A simple cone shade, exposed mechanical details, and a finish that looks like it has been in the family for decades. The brushed champagne brass has a pale, muted brassy-gold tone with a soft satin luster and a fine directional texture, while the auric yellow shade adds a deep, saturated golden-yellow with a flat matte surface. Because the shade is open at the top, light escapes upward as well as down, so you get both a focused pool of light below and a soft ambient wash above.
