A single-light wall sconce in matte black with a bold auric yellow cone shade, made for hallways, stairways, and bathrooms.

The Orwell takes its cues from vintage factory lighting - exposed mechanical details, a utilitarian silhouette, and a cone shade that does most of the talking. The matte black frame is a deep, uniform black with a smooth, non-reflective finish, while the auric yellow shade is a saturated golden-yellow with a flat matte sheen that adds a deliberate pop of color. The open-top shade lets light escape upward for extra ambient glow, and the whole fixture projects 11 inches from the wall.

Is the bulb included? No. It takes one E26 medium-base Type A bulb, max 100W, sold separately.

Is it dimmable, and what dimmer should I use? Yes, it is dimmable. Use a dimmer switch rated for the bulb you install.

Can I install this in a bathroom or outdoors? It is damp-location rated and ETL listed, so it works in bathrooms and covered semi-enclosed spaces. Do not install it in uncovered outdoor locations.

What's the warranty? 1 year limited.

Does the open top change the light? Yes - the open-top shade lets light escape upward, so you get a mix of downward task light and soft ambient glow above.
