How bright is it?

Brightness depends on the bulb you choose. With a 100W-equivalent LED you get roughly 1,600 lumens - enough for a hallway or laundry room, but not a substitute for a large primary ceiling light in an open living space.

Can I install this in a bathroom or outdoors? It is rated for damp locations, so it works in bathrooms and covered porches. It is not rated for wet locations or uncovered outdoor areas.
