A single-light wall sconce for bathrooms and vanities, finished in polished chrome with an exotic purple cone shade.

The Orwell takes the factory-inspired sconce and gives it a jolt of color. A polished chrome backplate and arm hold a cone-shaped steel shade in a deep, saturated exotic purple with a flat matte finish - a deliberate contrast against the mirror-like chrome. The open-top shade lets light spill upward for ambient fill while the cone directs the rest downward onto a counter or sink. It is part of a customizable collection with five finishes and thirteen shade styles.

How bright is it?

Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer because the bulb is not included. With a 100W max E26 bulb installed, expect roughly 1,500 to 1,600 lumens from a standard incandescent or equivalent LED - plenty for vanity task lighting, not enough to light a whole room alone.

Light color and feel

Color temperature depends on the bulb you choose. A 2700K to 3000K warm white bulb flatters skin tones at a vanity and suits the chrome finish. The fixture is dimmable, so a compatible dimmer lets you drop from bright task light to a soft evening glow.

Is the bulb included? No. It takes one E26 medium base A19 bulb, 100W max, sold separately.

Is it dimmable, and what dimmer should I use? Yes, it is dimmable. Use a dimmer rated for the bulb type you install.

Can I install this in a bathroom or outdoors? It carries a damp location rating, so bathrooms, laundry rooms, and covered porches are fine. It is not rated for fully exposed outdoor use.

What's the warranty? One year limited.

Does the open-top shade really make a difference? Yes - the open top lets light escape upward for ambient fill, while the cone directs the rest down onto a counter or sink.
