Fanimation TriAire Custom 72in 1-Light Ceiling Fan | Modern Black and Silver Composite Blades | Living Room & Covered | Model FPD8515BLW-72SLW-12LK

A 72-inch smart ceiling fan with a 12-inch integrated LED light kit, designed for large living spaces and covered outdoor areas, finished in black with silver composite blades.

The TriAire Custom from Fanimation combines powerful airflow with a bold, modern look. Its three silver composite blades contrast with the matte black motor housing, while the 12-inch opal frosted LED light kit provides bright, even illumination. The 40-watt LED module delivers 3600 lumens with CCT Select technology, letting you choose from five color temperatures from warm to daylight. The whisper-quiet DC motor moves up to 8,666 CFM, making it ideal for great rooms and covered patios. With Wi-Fi fanSync, you can control the fan and light via voice or smartphone, and the included handheld remote offers 16 speeds and multiple modes.

Best for

• Great rooms and open-concept living areas 20x20 ft or larger, needing both high airflow and bright, adjustable light
• Covered patios, pergolas, and gazebos—wet-rated for outdoor use
• Living rooms and home theaters where a dimmable, high-output light is beneficial
• Rooms with ceilings up to 27° slope, using the included 8-inch downrod or optional longer downrods
• Smart-home setups—works with Alexa, Google Assistant, and the fanSync app

Not ideal for

• Small rooms under 10x10 ft—the 72-inch sweep may overpower the space
• Low ceilings under 8 ft without a flush-mount option (this fan requires a downrod)
• Spaces needing a subtler light—the 12-inch light kit is quite bright

How bright is it?

The integrated LED module produces 3600 lumens—comparable to a 250-watt incandescent bulb—making it suitable as a primary light source for large rooms. It's dimmable, so you can adjust the brightness to suit the mood.

Light color and feel

With CCT Select technology, you can choose from 2700K (warm white), 3000K (soft white), 3500K (neutral), 4000K (bright white), or 5000K (daylight). The opal frosted shade diffuses light evenly, reducing glare. With a CRI of 90, colors appear vibrant and accurate.

Sizing and fit

The fan measures 72 inches in diameter and hangs 19.69 inches from the ceiling with the included 8-inch downrod. For optimal airflow, mount it 7–9 feet above the floor. It fits flat or sloped ceilings up to 27°, and optional downrods up to 72 inches are available for higher ceilings.
