Description
A 48-inch smart ceiling fan without a light kit, designed for both indoor and outdoor wet locations, finished in black with black blades.
The TriAire Custom ceiling fan from Fanimation offers a sleek, all-black aesthetic that complements modern and industrial interiors. Its three slender composite blades in a matte black finish match the motor housing for a cohesive look. Powered by a quiet, energy-efficient DC motor with 16 speeds, this fan delivers powerful airflow up to 5,103 CFM while maintaining whisper-quiet operation. It is compatible with an optional integrated LED light kit (sold separately) for added versatility, and all controls are managed via the included handheld remote or the fanSync app.
Best for
- Covered patios, gazebos, pergolas, and porches where wet-rated durability is essential
- Great rooms and open-plan living areas up to 20x20 ft, providing powerful cooling breeze
- Bedrooms and home offices needing quiet, customizable airflow with smart control
- Spaces where you prefer a fan without a light, or plan to add the optional light kit later
- Homes with sloped ceilings up to 27° - the included 4.5-inch downrod and optional longer downrods ensure proper hanging height
Not ideal for
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 ft unless you use a flush mount (not included) to maintain safe clearance
- Spaces where you prefer a traditional fan with wooden blades - this fan's composite blades have a modern, sleek profile
- Installations requiring a 3-speed wall switch - this fan uses a handheld remote and smart app for all controls
- If you need a light source from the fan itself, consider the version with an integrated light kit
How bright is it?
This fan does not include a light kit, so brightness depends on the optional light kit you may add. The compatible 18-watt LED light kit (sold separately) produces 1,600 lumens - comparable to a 100W incandescent bulb.
Light color and feel
If you add the optional light kit, you can choose from three color temperatures: 3000K soft white, 4000K cool white, or 5000K daylight, with a CRI of 90 for accurate color rendering.
Sizing and fit
The fan measures 48 inches in diameter and hangs 12.92 inches from the ceiling with the included 4.5-inch downrod. It fits rooms from 100 to 225 square feet. For higher ceilings, optional downrods up to 72 inches are available. The canopy is 5.75 inches in diameter, and the housing is 7.09 inches wide.
