Fanimation TriAire Custom 48in 1-Light Ceiling Fan | Modern Black and Weathered Wood Composite Blades | Indoor | Model FPD8514BLW-48WEW-12LK

A 48-inch indoor/outdoor smart ceiling fan with a 12-inch LED light kit, finished in black with weathered wood blades, for large living spaces, covered patios, and gazebos.

The TriAire Custom ceiling fan from Fanimation blends modern minimalism with natural warmth. Its three slender composite blades in a weathered wood finish contrast beautifully with the black motor housing, creating a sleek, contemporary look that suits both indoor and outdoor settings. Powered by a quiet, energy-efficient DC motor, this fan delivers powerful airflow while remaining whisper-quiet. The integrated 12-inch LED light kit with CCT Select technology lets you choose from five color temperatures, from warm white to daylight, so you can set the perfect ambiance for any occasion.

Best for

• Covered patios, pergolas, and gazebos where wet-rated durability is essential
• Great rooms and open-plan living areas up to 400 sq ft, providing strong airflow and bright illumination
• Bedrooms and home offices where quiet operation and adjustable light color enhance comfort
• Outdoor kitchens and dining areas, adding both light and a cooling breeze
• Spaces with high ceilings, using optional downrods up to 72 inches for optimal airflow

Not ideal for

• Rooms with ceilings steeper than 27° slope without an angled ceiling adapter
• Small spaces under 8 ft ceilings, as the fan hangs 15.93 inches from the ceiling with the light kit
• Those seeking a fan without a light kit, as this model includes an integrated LED light

How bright is it?

This fan's light kit produces 3600 lumens - comparable to a 250W incandescent bulb - making it bright enough to serve as the primary light source in a large room or outdoor area. It's ideal for illuminating expansive spaces, though you may want to use a dimmer for cozier settings.

Light color and feel

With CCT Select technology, you can choose from 2700K (warm white), 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, or 5000K (daylight). This flexibility lets you create a warm, inviting glow for evening gatherings or a crisp, bright light for tasks. The high CRI of 90 ensures colors appear vibrant and true to life, making it suitable for spaces where accurate color rendering matters.

Sizing and fit

The fan measures 44 inches wide, 44 inches deep, and 15.93 inches high (with light kit). It's designed for flat or slightly sloped ceilings and comes with a 4.5-inch downrod. Optional downrods up to 72 inches are available to achieve the optimal 7-9 ft hanging height. The canopy is 5.75 inches in diameter, and the lead wire is 80 inches long.
