Description
A 72-inch flush-mount smart ceiling fan for large covered patios and living rooms, finished in dark bronze with natural buttonwood blades.
The Spitfire DC Custom pairs a sleek dark bronze motor housing with three natural buttonwood blades for a warm, organic look that suits both indoor and covered outdoor spaces. Its 6-speed DC motor delivers powerful yet quiet airflow up to 9,639 CFM, while the included handheld remote and Wi-Fi fanSync control offer convenient operation. This fan is compatible with an optional LED light kit, allowing you to add customizable lighting when you need it.
Best for
- Covered patios and porches, providing powerful airflow in damp-rated outdoor spaces
- Large living rooms and great rooms, where a 72-inch sweep moves air effectively
- Sunrooms and enclosed porches, adding comfort and style in humid environments
- Bedrooms and home offices, with quiet DC motor operation for low-noise comfort
- Low-ceiling rooms, thanks to the flush-mount design that maximizes headroom
Not ideal for
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet if you prefer a downrod mount, as this flush version is designed for low ceilings
- Outdoor areas directly exposed to rain or water, as it is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Small rooms under 12x12 feet, where a 72-inch fan may be overpowering
How bright is it?
This fan is designed to be compatible with an optional integrated LED light kit (sold separately). When the light kit is added, it produces up to 1,600 lumens - roughly equivalent to a 100W incandescent bulb - and offers five color temperatures from warm to daylight.
Light color and feel
When paired with the optional light kit, you can choose from five color temperatures: 2700K (warm white), 3000K (soft white), 3500K (neutral), 4000K (cool white), and 5000K (daylight). This flexibility lets you shift from a cozy, warm glow to crisp, bright light. With a CRI of 90, colors appear vivid and accurate.
Sizing and fit
This fan measures 72 inches in diameter and hangs just 9.65 inches from the ceiling, making it ideal for rooms with low ceilings. The flush mount keeps it close to the ceiling, and the 72-inch blade sweep is best suited for large rooms of at least 18x18 feet. The included ceiling bracket simplifies installation.
