Fanimation Spitfire 72in Downrod Smart Ceiling Fan with LED Light | Black Motor with Matte White Blades | Covered Patio | Model FPD6721BBL-72MW-LK

A 72-inch downrod smart ceiling fan with an integrated LED light kit from Fanimation's Spitfire collection, finished in black with matte white blades, designed for large indoor and covered outdoor spaces.

The Spitfire DC Custom brings a streamlined, modern look to big rooms. The black motor housing pairs with three matte white blades to create a clean, contemporary silhouette. Its powerful 6-speed DC motor moves up to 9,639 CFM of air quietly, making it a workhorse for living areas, great rooms, and covered patios. The integrated 18-watt LED light kit features CCT Select technology, letting you choose from five color temperatures to set the perfect mood. With Wi-Fi enabled fanSync technology, you can control the fan and light from your smartphone or voice assistant, and the included TR360 remote puts all controls at your fingertips. The fan is damp rated, so it's safe for covered outdoor areas and humid indoor spaces.

Best for

• Covered patios and porches, where the damp rating and weather-resistant blades shine
• Great rooms and open-concept living areas with high ceilings, where the 72-inch sweep provides powerful airflow
• Sunrooms and three-season rooms that need year-round comfort
• Primary bedrooms and large home offices where quiet operation is a priority
• Rooms with standard or slightly sloped ceilings (up to 20°), thanks to the included downrods

Not ideal for

• Small rooms under 12x12 ft, where the 72-inch blade sweep may be overpowering
• Outdoor areas directly exposed to rain or water - this fan is damp rated, not wet rated
• Rooms with very low ceilings (under 8 ft) where the downrod adds extra height

How bright is it?

The integrated 18-watt LED light kit delivers 1600 lumens - about as bright as a 100W incandescent bulb, suitable for ambient lighting in a large room. The light is dimmable via the remote, and the CCT Select technology lets you adjust the color temperature.

Light color and feel

Choose from five color temperatures - 2700K (warm white), 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K (daylight) - to match your mood and activity. The 90 CRI rating ensures colors appear vibrant and true, ideal for living spaces where you want accurate color rendering. The light is dimmable via the remote for complete control.

Sizing and fit

This fan measures 72 inches in diameter and hangs 19.42 inches from the ceiling with the included 6-inch downrod (or 25.42 inches with the 12-inch downrod). It's best suited for rooms with 8-foot or higher ceilings and at least 15x15 feet of space to balance the large blade sweep. Optional downrods up to 72 inches are available for higher ceilings.
