Fanimation Spitfire 72in Downrod Ceiling Fan | Brushed Nickel and Natural Buttonwood Blades | Covered Patio & Great Room | Model FPD6721BBN-72N-DWLK

A 72-inch downrod smart ceiling fan with an integrated LED light kit and double-walled marine glass shade, designed for large indoor and covered outdoor spaces, finished in brushed nickel with natural Buttonwood blades.

The Spitfire DC Custom pairs a sleek, modern look with powerful performance. Its 6-speed DC motor delivers up to 9,639 CFM of quiet airflow, while the integrated 24-watt LED light kit offers five color temperatures—from warm 2700K to daylight 5000K—so you can set the mood for any occasion. The double-walled glass shade is marine-grade, making it suitable for outdoor wet locations. Control everything from the included handheld remote or your smartphone via Wi-Fi fanSync. Damp-rated for covered patios and porches, this fan brings smart comfort to expansive rooms.

Best for

• Covered patios, porches, and sunrooms up to 20x20 ft, where damp-rated durability matters
• Great rooms and open-plan living areas with ceilings 9 ft or higher, using the included downrods
• Bedrooms and home offices needing quiet, energy-efficient air movement
• Spaces where you want customizable lighting from warm to cool white
• Rooms with slightly sloped ceilings (up to 20°)

Not ideal for

• Outdoor areas directly exposed to rain or water—this fan is damp-rated, not wet-rated, despite the marine-grade light kit
• Small rooms under 10x10 ft, where a 72-inch sweep may be overpowering
• Low ceilings under 8 ft, as the downrod adds height

How bright is it?

The integrated LED module produces 2000 lumens—comparable to a 150-watt incandescent bulb—enough to illuminate a large living area or covered patio. It's dimmable, so you can lower the light for a cozy evening.

Light color and feel

Choose from five color temperatures: 2700K (warm white), 3000K (soft white), 3500K (neutral), 4000K (cool white), and 5000K (daylight). With a CRI of 90, colors appear vivid and true. The double-walled glass shade diffuses light evenly and is built to withstand the elements.

Sizing and fit

With a 72-inch blade sweep and 14° blade pitch, this fan suits rooms at least 15x15 ft. The included 6-inch and 12-inch downrods allow for a ceiling-to-bottom height of 16 or 22 inches with the light kit. Optional downrods up to 72 inches are available for higher ceilings.
