Description
A 48-inch flush-mount ceiling fan from Fanimation's Spitfire collection, finished in matte white with dark walnut blades, designed for low ceilings and damp-rated for covered outdoor and humid spaces.
The Spitfire flush mount brings the collection's sleek three-blade design closer to the ceiling, making it ideal for rooms with limited clearance. The matte white motor housing and dark walnut buttonwood blades create a modern, architectural look that works in contemporary interiors and covered outdoor areas. Its damp rating allows installation in bathrooms, sunrooms, and covered patios, while the included remote offers convenient control.
Best for
- Rooms with low ceilings (under 8 ft) where a flush mount is necessary
- Covered patios and porches, where the damp rating protects against humidity
- Sunrooms and three-season rooms needing reliable airflow
- Bathrooms and laundry rooms with high humidity
- Living rooms and bedrooms up to 18x20 ft as a primary cooling fan
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas directly exposed to rain or water spray, as it is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Spaces with sloped ceilings, as this flush mount is designed for flat ceilings only
- Small rooms under 10x10 ft where a 48-inch sweep may feel oversized
How bright is it?
This fan does not include a light kit, so brightness depends on your room's existing lighting. It is compatible with an optional 18-watt LED light kit (sold separately) that provides 1500 lumens—about as bright as a 100W incandescent bulb—suitable for ambient lighting in medium-sized rooms.
Light color and feel
If you add the optional LED light kit, it emits 3000K warm white light—a soft, golden tone similar to traditional incandescent bulbs. With a CRI of 90, it renders colors accurately, making it a good choice for living areas and kitchens. The light is dimmable when used with the included remote or compatible smart controls.
Sizing and fit
This flush-mount fan has an overall height of 9.5 inches from ceiling to bottom (without light kit), making it suitable for ceilings as low as 8 feet. It mounts directly to a flat ceiling using the included bracket. The 48-inch blade sweep is ideal for medium to large rooms.
