Description
A 48-inch flush-mount ceiling fan with an integrated LED light kit, ideal for low ceilings and damp-rated for covered outdoor spaces.
The Spitfire Flush from Fanimation delivers the same modern three-blade design as the standard Spitfire but mounts flush to the ceiling, making it perfect for rooms with limited clearance. The matte black motor housing and natural buttonwood blades suit contemporary and transitional interiors, while the included LED light kit provides warm 3000K light with fresnel or frosted shades. The reversible AC motor offers airflow up to 4,995 CFM.
Best for
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 ft, where a flush mount avoids the need for a downrod
- Covered patios and porches, thanks to the damp rating
- Sunrooms and three-season rooms that need both airflow and light
- Bedrooms, living rooms, or home offices with standard 8-9 ft ceilings
- Smart home setups, as it works with Fanimation fanSync and most smart home devices (control sold separately)
Not ideal for
- Areas directly exposed to rain or water, as it is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Large rooms over 15x15 ft, where the 48-inch sweep may be insufficient for primary cooling
- Sloped ceilings, as the flush mount is designed for flat ceilings only
How bright is it?
The integrated 18-watt LED module produces 1,500 lumens—comparable to a 100-watt incandescent bulb—making it bright enough for ambient lighting in medium to large rooms, though not a replacement for task lighting.
Light color and feel
At 3000K, the light is a warm white with a soft, golden tone that flatters skin and wood finishes. With a CRI of 90, colors appear vivid and accurate, ideal for living spaces. The light is dimmable via the included TR500 remote, allowing infinite light levels.
Sizing and fit
The fan measures 48 inches wide, 48 inches deep, and 11.21 inches high (with light kit). It mounts flush to the ceiling, with a canopy of 7.85 inches in diameter and 5.02 inches high. The lead wire is 80 inches long.
