Description
A 48-inch damp-rated ceiling fan without a light kit, finished in dark bronze with whiskey wood buttonwood blades, for covered outdoor spaces and large indoor rooms.
The Spitfire brings a sleek, three-blade aesthetic to spaces that need efficient airflow. Its dark bronze motor housing pairs with whiskey wood blades for a rich, warm look that suits traditional, transitional, and contemporary interiors. This model is designed for those who prefer to use their own lighting or want a fan-only option. It is compatible with an optional LED light kit (sold separately) for added versatility.
Best for
- Covered patios and porches, where the damp rating protects against humidity and moisture
- Sunrooms and three-season rooms that need year-round comfort
- Large bedrooms and living rooms, providing airflow up to 5,176 CFM
- Bathrooms and laundry rooms with high humidity, as long as the fan is not directly exposed to water
- Spaces with flat or slightly sloped ceilings (up to 19°), using the included 4.5-inch downrod
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas directly exposed to rain or water, as the fan is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Rooms with ceilings under 7 feet, unless you use the optional close-to-ceiling mount
- Small spaces under 8x8 feet, where the 48-inch blade sweep may feel overpowering
- Those who need a light fixture included, as this model does not come with a light kit
Style and finish
The dark bronze finish on the motor housing and blades offers a sophisticated, earthy tone that pairs well with wood and neutral palettes. The whiskey wood blades add a touch of warmth and richness, making this fan a stylish addition to any room.
Materials and care
The blades are made from buttonwood, a durable hardwood that is naturally resistant to moisture and humidity. To clean, wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using water or harsh chemicals, as they may damage the finish.
Sizing and fit
This fan measures 48 inches in diameter and 12 inches from ceiling to bottom when installed with the included 4.5-inch downrod. It is designed for rooms with at least 8-foot ceilings, but optional downrods up to 72 inches are available for higher ceilings. The canopy is 7.09 inches in diameter, and the housing is 8.07 inches.
